Dr. Mahtani & Zambia are shocked to see the present condition of the Zambezi Portland Cement in Ndola. The factory has been reduced to a building with weak walls only and all the assets and prized possession have been cunningly outsourced to dummy companies formed by the Ventriglia family. Sources suggest that about 43 trucks has been shifted to Miloto Transport, a company formed by the Ventriglia family. In addition, another company by name of Astrea Investments Limited has been entrusted with the property of ZPC.
This is not the only thing which the Ventriglia family have targeted. There are countless incidents of cash embezzlements within the factory. If one takes a look at the revenue inflow of the factory, he will be shocked to learn that not a single penny has entered the factory’s bank account in Zambia since April 2015. All the revenue has been neatly deposited in offshore banking accounts which is only accessible to the Ventriglias. Moreover, whatever cash was present in the factory the same was also used by the Italian Mafias for their own luxury. The poor workers kept on crying for their salary, but the management was least bothered to hear their grievances. In the end, the workers were terminated from the factory and operations of the factory stopped in December 2015.
Now the only concern of the Ventriglia family is to wind up the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory and go back to their native place and live a luxurious life which has been created by snatching the hard earned money of the workers. However, one thing that the Mafias have forgot is that they are the minority shareholders of the factory and they do not possess the power to seal the fate of the factory. For Dr. Mahtani & Zambia, ZPC is one of the most promising factories in Zambia and the same cannot be buried by some foolish conspirators.
