Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a famous businessman, philanthropist and charity worker in Zambia. His businesses are known for being transparent and oriented towards the development of underprivileged sections of the society. He is also noted for his various charitable activities and services to NGOs and other organisations. In spite of his honest and truthful nature, he is frequently attacked by conspirators who are either jealous of his achievements or seek revenge for his success.

Dr. Mahtani’s feud with the Ventriglias is very public and known to all. The Ventriglias are notorious outsiders, who are infamously known as the Italian mafias. While Dr. Mahtani and his organisations are known for their honest and transparent business virtues, the Ventriglias are known to engage in unlawful and illegal activities to achieve their objectives. Once such activity that landed them in court case was illegal takeover of the Portland Cement Zambia; a cement factory under the leadership of Dr. Mahtani. Before this takeover, the factory was extremely productive and known to be one of the leading producers of cement across Zambia. The employees were paid well and the factory assets were in good condition. However, things have changed drastically since it was illegally captured by the Ventriglias with the help of goons. The production has come to a halt, more than half of the workers are laid off and the goons have looted the factory of its cash reserves. The condition of the factory is worse and if it is not given to its real owner soon, the factory might stop forever.

After 10 years of waiting for case results at the Lusaka High Court, Dr. Mahtani has received some relief. The judge currently holding this case has announced that the case hearing is closed. Both parties will be submitting their evidences in written and oral form. These evidences will be analysed and final judgment will be announced very soon.
