Like other developed nations and emerging countries, Zambia has also started participating in economic summits and national events recently. The purpose of these events is to create a platform for economists, businesses, industries and relevant groups and organisations to join together and create meaningful and effective solutions for the critical and burning issues surrounding the nation. Off late, these summits and national events have been extremely successful in bringing topics associated with the political, legal, economical, social, technological, environmental and geo-political factors associated with the nation. This participation from industry experts and business giants not only helps in establishing great ideas for businesses and government, but also creates successful relationships and business contracts among businesses and industries for domestic growth and development.

African Summit is one such event which is being held in Zambia annually. The objective of this event is to create a platform for businesses and industries and generate creative and innovative ideas. The 2017 African Forum Summit was a huge success, participated by numerous industry personalities and business experts, such as Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani. After the summit was successfully completed, the Chief Press Secretary of the event released a press release.
