The High Court had ordered that the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory is entitled to receive USD $ 40 million from its minority shareholders on account of cash embezzlement which took place in between 2009 to 2012. It is certain that the Italian Mafias have left no tables unturned and have cast their spell of corruption and bribery to loot the ZPC.

The judgement was taken with a view to restore the losses which the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory has faced due to excessive cash drainage from the factory cash box to offshore accounts. The result of this cash outflow has resulted in the first ever loss in the cement plant in 2015. People who are closely related to this case believe that a major portion of this embezzled cash was used to fund RB’s election campaign along with hiring a handwriting expert from South Africa, who would examine the signatures on the transfer deeds of ZPC.

The series of massacre which has been done by the Ventriglia family is simply shocking! Ranging from employee exploitation to tampering the records of PACRA, they have always tried to bend the African Law as per their requirement.

Termination of employees in Zambezi Portland Cement Factory

The month of July-August witnessed termination of 47 workers from the factory because the management found them as redundant. However, it should be brought to light that these workers were already employed with the factory over a long time and with time as the management was unable to bring more business to the factory, they have started to remove the workers whom they consider as extra.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani has kept the hope alive for the workers of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory by standing as a pillar between the Ventriglias and the ownership of the factory. The workers are hoping that life will soon resume to normal after the Ventriglia are thrown out.
