Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a popular businessman in Zambia. He is known for his humility and honesty. Dr. Mahtani has been living in Zambia for many decades and has established many of his businesses here. He is also known for his charitable nature. His companies such as Portland Cement Zambia and Finance Bank Zambia have been responsible for economic growth and social development of many Zambian provinces. Even after his contribution to Zambia, he is frequently targeted by conspirators. These conspirators attack Dr. Mahtani and his firms because of jealousy or hatred. However, almost all of these campaigns have been unsuccessful and the reputation of Dr. Rajan Mahtani has remained intact.

However, some conspirators have no limit when it comes to spreading false reputation. Finance Bank Zambia had been facing reputational and financial issues as a result of a conspiracy against the entity. The conspirator is Simaata Simaata. He is an ex-employee of the Finance Bank and also a staunch critic of Dr. Mahtani. While he was working at the bank, Simaata was engaged in various unethical practices because of which he was let go. He also signed an agreement with the Finance Bank. However, he started leaking documents and statements to press or media, which caused negative publicity for the bank. Simaata also gave wrongful testimonials about the bank at several courts of law, causing further damage. He not only violated the agreement terms, but also damaged the reputation of the bank on false premises. As a result, the matter was approached to the Supreme Court Zambia, highest court of the nation.

After looking into the evidences and arguments from both sides, the SC judges gave their verdict which was in favour of Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank. Simaata was charged guilty and was also asked to pay fine. He will not be monitored by the law.
