Recently, Dr. Rajan Mahtani extended his full support to the announcement made by the Zambian President. President Hakainde Hichilema on the occasion of Africa Day announced that his government plans to abolish the death penalty row. While supporting this statement, Dr. Mahtani stated that death penalty is inhumane, degrading and cruel. The law is abolished across the majority of the global nations as well as Africa and it was high time for the Zambian government to take such a decision. Dr. Rajan Mahtani also praised the Zambian President’s decision by stating that while previous Presidents of Zambia surely attempted to stay far away from capital punishment, none of those Presidents honestly worked in the direction of bringing down this inhumane and merciless death penalty down. As such, it was a brave decision from the Zambian President to make such an announcement. As a result, Dr. Mahtani stated that his company Prison Fellowship Zambia will provide full legal and regulatory support towards this decision
