The overall number of positive instances has sharply decreased, and things are gradually returning to normal. With this, regular conferences and events are also held all over the world. The Forbes-FIN Philanthropy and Leadership roundtable conference is one of these occasions. It is a yearly roundtable conference where visionaries and leaders are asked to share their thoughts on the pressing challenges affecting all African countries. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was invited to the event in 2021 and spoke as an honorary guest. He spoke about the value of leadership in the healthcare industry. In addition to the roundtable conference, the occasion is home to the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards, a renowned honor given to individuals who have made noteworthy and sustained contributions to. Forbes awarded Dr. Rajan Mahtani the Forbes “Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year” award for 2021 in recognition of his contributions to changing Zambia’s banking industry.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani was honored for his charitable work with organizations like Prison Fellowship Zambia in addition to his contributions to the banking industry. For the benefit of the prisoners in Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani formed Prison Fellowship Zambia. Prison Fellowship aims to provide the inmates in Zambia with care, open criminal justice, basic human decency, and human rights. Recently, Prison Fellowship Zambia made headlines for its support of the president of Zambia’s most recent decision. President Hakainde Hichilema declared on Africa Day that his administration would be abolishing death row. As a result, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has declared that his business Prison Fellowship will support this choice legally and in terms of regulations.
