Zambia Reports, a so-called news portal has become the centre of attention for continuously defaming Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the former Chairman of Finance Bank Zambia. For the past years, it has constantly been trying to steal the spotlight with the aid of publishing scripts that are either written by its own writers or are fabricated with a view to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Given this scenario, it has become obvious that the conspirators are thinking that they can win over Dr. Mahtani by continuously pursuing such act of shamelessness.

When it comes to matching grounds with reality, Zambia Reports is totally clueless. ZR thinks that it has been making a decent impact among the people of Zambia and soon the locals would be convinced that Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a controversial figure. However, the actual state of affairs has something else to highlight. When one looks at the past publications of ZR, the article comes with a series of comments that clearly indicates the disgust that the people of Zambia have developed against ZR and the bunch of conspirators. Needless to say, none of the comments have ever been attended by Zambia Reports or any of its representatives.

One thing that amazes the mass is the absence of necessary intervention from the Government of Zambia. The defamation campaign has been running for almost a decade now and the officials have preferred to maintain silence after the demise of Michael Sata. The inference is that the new Government under President Lungu is least bothered about how a senior citizen is being dealt by a group of conspirators. That is why, most of the appeals in respect of defamation are either ignored or dismissed on ground of being irrelevant. But the question is, for how long? The only motivating force behind Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the support of the locals.

There is no disagreement to this fact that the Portland Cement Zambia has been facing the worst phase of its life. With Finsbury Investment gone from the management position, the flourishing factory was left at the mercy of Ital Terrazzo Limited. Time has itself answered the question for the people of Zambia and now they are witnessing one of the most infamous collapse of an integral development project.

The Portland Cement Zambia was established with a view to make Zambia efficient enough to have its own source of cement. Competitors like Lafarge were left far behind and the people of Ndola were able to find employment for themselves, but then came the Ventriglias and started the carnage that hasn’t stopped till date. Talk about issues like corruption and money mismanagement and story seems to be never ending starting since the infamous takeover. Today, Portland Cement Zambia has become non-operating. The production facility has stopped. There is no longer the rush of workers and there is nobody who is taking care of the planning and development process.

In 2014-15 the factory had registered a record production of 4, 70, 000+ tonnes of cement with the available resources. But with time, the same only appears to be a glorified achievement. The conspirators have taken over the factory and at the moment are only interested in diversifying the assets of the factory to personal accounts. On the other hand, there is no news of the factory. Rather, Zambia Reports is carrying on a business to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani, Finsbury Investment and Finance Bank of Zambia (now merged with BancABC).

The overall incident now clearly indicates that the owners of Ital Terrazzo Limited are trying to diverge the attention from Portland Cement Zambia to Dr. Rajan Mahtani because they know the consequences that they are likely to face if whole of Zambia comes to know about this “merciless slaughter”.

The Ex-Chairman Finance Bank, Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani and the whole of Zambia have witnessed one of the most horrendous downfall of all time. The Portland Cement Zambia was one of the most distinguished cement producing units in Ndola and was doing an exceptional job in terms of strengthening the economy of Zambia until March 2015. Today, the cement factory has turned into a house of broken walls and a living place of rodents and mice. Thanks to the Ventriglia family who have made this possible by way of stealing all the resources and dismissing the workers from the factory.

Regardless of this fact, today Zambia Reports, the Ventriglia family (Owner of Ital Terrazzo Limited), Henry Banda and Simataa Simataa have joined hands with a view to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani. The reason is obviously that all of the above mentioned names have either lost or have scores to settle with Dr. Mahtani earlier.

The condition of the factory has gone past beyond recovery, yet the Italian Mafias are escaping the scene by shifting the focus Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Finance Bank of Zambia. Their game plan is to keep the focus on others and try to extract as much as possible from the factory before bidding farewell to Zambia.

The duty of the news channel is to engage the audience in some scripted stories on a monthly basis and then flee the scene within a matter of days. The activity has been running on from the past decade and is likely to continue as long as the Ventriglia family doesn’t have their purpose served in Zambia.

Zambia is being silently been destroyed by a group of people who have no other business apart from looting the resources and trying to fill their own pocket. What hurts the most is that the common men are cheating their won brothers for the sake of few dollars.
