Dr. Rajan Mahtani, Finance Bank Zambia and Zambezi Portland Cement Factory-2015

Dr. Rajan Mahtani, perhaps the name says it all. A man who has not only revolutionized the medium-sized banking sector in Zambia, but has also reinforced a celebrated force in the heavy scale industry. Being the owner of Finance Bank Zambia (FBZ) and the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory (ZPC), Dr. Rajan Mahtani has ensured that both his units perform with exceptional brilliance in 2015. As per verified records, it has been confirmed that FBZ will now be listing itself with the Lusaka Stock Exchange with a view to raise US $ 250 millions through share trading.

Another news that has pleased Zambia is the success story of ZPC. As per the annual performance report, ZPC has produced an excess of 1, 00, 000 tonnes of cement for the year 2014. The additional was produced with a view to meet the requirements of the Ndola Housing Project. The steering force behind both these accomplishments was Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

Dr. Mahtani leads the Mahtani Group of Companies as an example. His hard work, dedication and commitment have motivated the whole of Zambia to work and aspire success. Sadly, his records have also instigated conspirators to target him. This is why he is always addressed as a controversial businessman by most of the funded news portals.

Listing of Finance Bank Zambia continues with LuSE- 2015

Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the owner of Finance Bank Zambia PLC., has confirmed that the listing process with the Lusaka Stock Exchange (LuSE) is moving ahead at a healthy pace. There is no reason whatsoever to worry about the listing process of FBZ because all obligations in the process have been duly met and very soon the shares of FBZ PLC. would be traded on the Lusaka Stock Exchange.

A rumor which was recently floated by Zambia Reports showed that the listing process of FBZ has been withdrawn from the LuSE and the reason behind such a decision was Dr. Mahtani. The article also convicted Dr. Mahtani of betraying the trust of Edgar Lungu, the President of Zambia.

The event has presented the malicious side of Zambia Reports who has been constantly striving with envy to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani. There have also been numerous incidents when Zambia Reports have made fatal attempts to demolish the reputation of the Finance Bank Chairman. However, they have never been successful as Zambians are well aware of the attitude that this portal possess. It would be interesting to find what legal step is taken against Zambia Reports after this shameful event. As for the people of Zambia, they are being assured that FBZ will soon been seen on the Lusaka Stock Exchange.

Why ‘Dr. Mahtani bribing the ex-President’ news was fake- 2015

Recently, when an article claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani had bribed the Malawian ex-President Joyce Banda, the people of Zambia and Malawi got angry and started to hunt for the truth behind this news. However, the clues were hidden in the fake article itself when it claimed that the bribe was offered in the form of a bio-thermal plant and a fuelling loan.

For any man, it was not very hard to understand that Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a man whose abides by the biblical principles and focuses upon developing Zambia. Nevertheless, had any form of bribe been offered to Joyce Banda, then it would have been in the form of personal benefits rather than offering benefits for the society. A bio thermal plant is of no use to an individual and hence, one can realize that this nothing more than a shameful attempt of the conspirators to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani.

Another aspect of looking at this matter is the relevancy of the claim. Being a learned man, Dr. Mahtani is well aware of the legal framework which exists in Malawi. Had he been interested in bribing an official to regain access into Malawi then it would be the officials of the Reserve Bank of Malawi rather than Joyce Banda, because it is the Reserve Bank of a country that holds the right to grant operating permission to any bank.

To conclude, one can now regard that the controversy was nothing more than an intended defamation attempt against Dr. Mahtani.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani misses Michael Sata- 2015

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani and former Zambian President, Michael Sata are two of the most influential figures of Zambia. Today Zambia is striving towards the path of success with the courtesy of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. However, what Dr. Mahtani is missing is the support of a guide, a friend, a help- Michael Sata. It has often been seen Dr. Mahtani is in need of a friend who can guide him through the rough phase of life. The past six months have not been easy for Dr. Mahtani, but he strongly believes that somewhere in the sky, Michael Sata is watching him and offering him his blessing.

The facility will soon start its production within a span of 30 days. An additional benefit which will arise out of this plan is that Masaiti will have greater opportunities of employment.

Zambezi Portland Cement Factory promises performance and quality 2015

The Zambezi Portland Cement Factory has produced an exceptional result for the Mahtani Group of Companies in 2014. The factory not only went on to achieve its forecasted output, but it has also successfully produced 1, 00, 000 tonnes of cement in excess. As per verified reports, the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory has produced a total of 4, 73, 985 tonnes of cement for the year 2014 along with maintaining optimum quality in production line.

The excess production was made for facilitating the Ndola Housing Project where a total of 71 houses were being constructed for the purpose of offering shelter to the people who have lost their place earlier. Additionally, the factory has also obtained the status of being a ZS ISO 9001:2008 certified factory for abiding by the required standards in the production line. The certification has been offered by ZABS (Zambia Bureau of Standards).

The performance of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory has motivated Dr. Rajan Mahtani to invest further in developing countries such as Masaiti. This has resulted in declaration of opening a new lime plant in Masaiti within the next 24 months. The plant will not only offer quality limestone production, but will also offer employment to more than 150 people.

With a prolific performance in 2014 from ZPC, the level of expectation has definitely increased from ZPC. However, will it stay aloof from conspirators or it will soon be attacked, is the question.

Zambezi Portland Cement Factory, then and now

The people of Zambia and all around Africa have often expressed their blunt feelings for the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory because it never remained in the news or showed any big developments. However, with the New Year there has been a turnaround for this factory as it has produced one of the best results for heavy scale factories in Africa. As per confirmed reports, ZPC has registered an annual production of 4, 73, 985 tonnes of cement in 2014. The figure indicates achieving 130% of the forecasted output.

Situated in Ndola, ZPC has always remained passive with its contributions. It contributes at a large scale, but never comes to the limelight because it is confined to supplying materials in construction projects. Exceptionally, this time its contribution has been so bog that it is bound to make a big news. The installed capacity of ZPC on annual capacity is around 3, 60, 000 tonnes along with a daily production potential of 1000 tonnes. This time around the same has been achieved with ease.

The production expanded because of the Ndola Housing Project that focused upon building 71 new houses for the people of Ndola who had lost their existing home. Additionally, the production of ZPC takes quality control seriously and has a ZS ISO 9001:2008 certification, which comes from the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS). The recent success has also motivated Dr. Rajan Mahtani to invest in Masaiti by way of constructing a new lime plant in the next 24 months.

**Update**

The Zambezi Portland Cement Factory is now being managed by the minority shareholders, the Ventriglias. They took over the management of the company on April 7, 2015 by force and since then,  the situation has degraded continuously. According to the workers, the working conditions have degraded and they are not being paid for their hard work. The factory which had once shown promising result is now at the mercy of the Italian Mafias.
